I teach Negotiation online and started incorporating AI in 2022 when I had a student in the United Arab Emirates who did not have a role-playing partner. So I fed a script into ChatGPT for it to act as his partner via text interaction—it worked well enough to solve the problem.
I decided that the important skills I was teaching were case analysis and negotiation planning—not creative writing—so now I include specific prompts for them to use ChatGPT or some other form of AI to do the writing so the students can focus on ensuring all the important concepts are clearly represented and that they can speak to them accurately.
