Co-facilitated by the Service-Learning Program and CATLR, the Service-Learning Fellows Program leads a cohort of faculty through an examination of the service-learning and evidence-based teaching literature and culminates with the implementation or deepening of a service-learning course or component.
Service-Learning Fellows is an 18-month-long program open to full-time faculty from all disciplines. Fellows will receive a stipend upon completion of the program.
Research on service-learning has shown numerous significant and positive outcomes for students, faculty, and communities. Benefits of participating in the Service-Learning Fellows Program include:
- Build knowledge and awareness related to enhancing student learning and engagement
- Connect courses with social issues
- Collegial sharing with and between faculty and community members
