In this three-part reading group, we will discuss excerpts from anti-racist texts that will help us bring racial awareness into our own educational practices, connecting reflection to action. Each week, the texts will be distributed for you to read in advance. In this first session, we will be discussing bell hooks’ chapter on “Talking Race and Racism” from Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope (2003).
You are invited to attend a single session or participate in all three sessions as a series. Please note: You will have to register for each individual session.
