In this three-week asynchronous workshop, you will experience what it’s like to engage in a “4-S” group discussion activity, then design one for your own course material and revise it in response to collaborative peer feedback. We will pay special attention to the importance of building inclusivity into the structure of discussion activities so that all learners can get the most learning benefit. You will come away with a discussion activity nearly ready-to-go for your own course. You can anticipate spending 1-2 hours per week on workshop activities.
For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Diversity & Inclusive Teaching” OR ” Course & Syllabus Design” OR “Assignments, Assessment & Active Learning” requirement.
This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
