Exploring Equity and Inclusion Through Educational Autobiographies

Oct 25 • 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We all have experiences of feeling included and excluded in teaching and learning settings. These experiences–good and bad–can shape our convictions about the types of learning environments we want to create and the experiences we want for our learners. The educational autobiography approach helps us share and gain perspective on our past, leveraging it to improve our work with learners in the present and future. In this workshop, you will have an opportunity to develop an autobiographical vignette from your own experience, and exchange ideas with your colleagues, to envision and express your goals for just and equitable learning.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Diversity and Inclusive Teaching” or “Teaching Statements” requirements.

This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
