Fostering Academic Integrity

Mar 3 • 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

We want students to behave with integrity in and out of the classroom, but many of us are unsure about how to proactively support students in developing this ability, especially in new academic contexts. We believe that integrity is an interdisciplinary skill that students develop and learn to apply in new contexts during their time at Northeastern, and a skill that educators can help foster in their students. In collaboration with the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR), we will consider factors that may underlie lapses in academic integrity and discuss strategies to use throughout the semester to support students in behaving with integrity. We are excited to hear from participants about challenges they have experienced and strategies that they have used in their own contexts.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Assignments, Assessment, and Active Learning” requirement.

This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
