Introduction To Evidence-based Teaching

Jan 17 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Evidence-based teaching takes many forms: grounding your teaching practice in the literature on how people learn, designing your courses to generate evidence of impact on student learning, and even conducting Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) studies to contribute to knowledge on effective teaching and learning practices. Integrating evidence-based teaching into your practice can yield powerful short- and long-term benefits, from improving your teaching to positioning yourself for promotion. In this session you will be introduced to the concept of evidence-based teaching and Northeastern’s resources for improving this dimension of your teaching practice.

This session is only open to Northeastern University students, staff and educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
