Making Large Classes Active and Inclusive

Aug 18 • 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

While definitions of a large class range from about 30 to 100 to over 250 students, the student experience is driven by the quality of the instruction, not necessarily by how many learners are in the room. Despite the logistical challenges often associated with large classes–such as classroom set-up and interaction–there are many opportunities to engage learners in active approaches that reinforce mastery and build community. Join this educator exchange with CATLR and Academic Technologies to share experiences and ideas for fostering an inclusive large-class learning environment.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Course and Syllabus Design” requirement.

This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
