Partnering Students and Educators on Anti-racist Accountability

Jan 11 • 11:45 am - 1:15 pm

Becoming anti-racist is a lifelong process. This small community of faculty, staff, and students will explore readings and activities that provide a deep dive into anti-racist practice. This inquiry group is for those who want to a) gain confidence talking about race, b) frame dialogue with open, honest questions, c) practice what to do or say when called out or called in, or d) reflect on your contexts for action. Together we will partner to co-create psychological safety, bravery, and belonging, regardless of status.

*Participants must register for and attend all seven sessions in person, which run on Wednesdays from 11:45 am – 1:15 pm ET | 8:45 am – 10:15 am PT, on January 11 & 18, February 1 & 22, March 15 & 29, and April 12, 2023. This event will meet in person in TBA location on the Boston campus, with a remote option in case of extenuating circumstances.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Diversity and Inclusive Teaching” requirement.

This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
