Solving Common Teaching Problems With Universal Design for Learning

Oct 4 • 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

Some teaching challenges are common, regardless of discipline. Differing abilities among students to plan or persist, competing demands on their attention, and varying motivations can all make it difficult to engage them. Bring your teaching challenge to this community conversation and together we will brainstorm how to help move you and your students forward. In particular, we will consider whether Universal Design for Learning and other inclusive practices may offer ways to better meet the needs of all learners, without lowering academic standards or imposing undue burden on educators.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Diversity and Inclusive Teaching” requirement.

This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
