Experiential learning opportunities such as Dialogue of Civilizations, service-learning, clinical rotation, and authentic projects have great potential to motivate students, as well as help them develop professional skills and confidence and transfer knowledge from the classroom to the real world. However, experiences do not always translate into rich, meaningful learning. What makes the difference? How can we transform experiences into experiential learning? In this workshop, you will come away with specific strategies to support the learning part of experiential learning opportunities. Lunch will be provided.
