Teaching statements can be used for many purposes, from reflecting on your teaching practice, to applying for faculty positions, to creating materials for the faculty promotion, renewal, and tenure processes. In this interactive session, you will share a working draft of your statement in a small group of other participants, offering feedback and suggestions and identifying your next steps for revising. As you prepare your draft, please complete CATLR’s self-paced module “Writing Your Teaching Statement” to explore reflection prompts, guidelines, and sample statements.
