Workshop: Getting Started Teaching Online Using Canvas

When moving online in a short timeframe and in a new learning management system, you need to make strategic decisions to keep yourself and your students from getting overwhelmed, and create a learning experience that is engaged, organized, and sustainable for everyone. In this session, we suggest a structure for an online module and move through the basic practices for keeping you and your students on the same page at a distance. This is the Canvas version of CATLR’s “Getting Started” workshop. Though we will certainly be talking about what certain tools can and cannot do, this is not a tools training—a schedule of hands-on tool trainings are available at:
