Writing Medical School Letters of Evaluation
Faculty letters of evaluation are a critical part of the competitive process of applying to medical school. In collaboration with the PreMed and PreHealth Advising Program, we will discuss how to write a narrative that provides evidence for your evaluation based on firsthand experience you have with a student’s competencies. Specifically, you will:
– Review learning outcomes from your course and consider how students meet these outcomes.
– Connect criteria for success in your course to a student’s level of preparedness for medical school rigor.
– Become familiar with best practices for writing medical school letters of evaluation based on direct observation.
– Start designing a personal template for writing letters of evaluation.
This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
