These self-paced modules are intended to prepare PhD students and Teaching Assistants (TAs) for their first teaching or TA experience at Northeastern. These modules focus on considering different ways to communicate with students and support an inclusive learning environment from the beginning of the semester; identifying strategies for grading and providing effective feedback; and engaging students in active learning in the context of Hybrid NUflex classes. Throughout the modules, participants will also find opportunities for reflection and interactive engagement, as well as resources that can further support their teaching/TA development.
These self-paced modules are intended for PhD and graduate students preparing to teach or TA for the first time, but may be useful for any graduate or undergraduate student preparing to teach/TA, grade, or mentor students.
