In my video game design courses, we work primarily with image generators. When analyzing AI-generated text about an unfamiliar topic, it may be challenging for an individual to recognize what is accurate and what is not. However, with AI-generated images, it is immediately obvious when the results are not what was expected.
Students in our game design courses are well-versed with generative AI tools. It is beneficial for instructors to practice using the tools on their own to learn what they can and can’t do so they can model appropriate uses and critically analyze outputs from the tools.
