Building Community: Setting Expectations and Addressing Microaggressions
Sep 12 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
At the beginning of a learning experience, many learners value a sense of trust and community. Together, learners and educators can co-create not only intellectual but social and emotional expectations. Then, when anyone observes or experiences a critical incident such as a microaggression, they can use specific practices for when and how to respond, including ways to revisit expectations and uphold them.
Join us to experience such community-building practices, plan how to use them, and consider case examples to imagine when and how to respond if you observe or experience a microaggression.
This session is only open to Northeastern University students, staff and educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
