Generating Ideas for Your Teaching Statement and Diversity Statement
Please note: This workshop is intended for graduate students & postdoctoral fellows/associates. If you are faculty, please join CATLR’s Teaching Statement Workshop for Faculty on March 2. How you articulate your approach to equitable and inclusive teaching can be an important part of a teaching statement or diversity statement for the academic job market. In collaboration with Career Design, we will discuss best practices for developing these documents. Additionally, you will start to brainstorm and articulate the perspectives and experiences that best represent your personal commitment to fostering equity and inclusion. At the end of the session, you will come away with content you can meaningfully adapt to key materials for the academic job market. For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Teaching Statements” requirement.
