Sharing Perspectives on the Benefits of Transparent Assignment Design

Feb 22 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Transparent Assignment Design (TAD) is straightforward to implement and significantly impacts student success, with the greatest gains made by students from populations that have been historically excluded in higher education. When you share the purpose, task, and criteria of an assignment, students know why they are doing this work and how they should complete it from the start. In this educator exchange, we will hear from faculty who have applied the TAD framework to their course assignments. They will share their reflections on the process and on the resulting benefits for their students.

For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the “Assignments, Assessment, and Active Learning” requirement.

This session is only open to Northeastern University students, staff and educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
