Teaching in the Livecasting Format

Aug 8 • 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

In a Livecast course, the instructor simultaneously teaches students in-person and also in one or more other classrooms, usually on another campus. This format enables programs to share faculty expertise among campuses and increase offerings at locations where enrollment may be low. Northeastern’s Global Classrooms provide the technology for Livecast teaching, but this modality also requires thoughtful attention to teaching so that students in multiple locations can have engaged and equitable learning experiences. This workshop introduces strategies for building community, engaging students, and facilitating active learning strategies across distances.

This session is only open to Northeastern University students, staff, and educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
