AI in Teaching & Learning Across the Network

This site includes resources for you to explore as you consider AI-informed teaching and decide what is best for your teaching practice. We also link to events at Northeastern related to teaching and learning with AI, most of which take place online.

This work is a product of the AI in Teaching and Learning Across the Network initiative that is a partnership between faculty, staff, and students. The initiative is co-sponsored by the Offices of the Provost and the Chancellor.

Why do we think this work is important? When used appropriately, AI can help you

  • streamline time-consuming teaching tasks,
  • create opportunities for students to practice and deepen their learning,
  • challenge students to think critically about the information they encounter, and
  • equip students to thrive in an AI-ubiquitous world.

Essential capabilities such as critical thinking, literacy, and interpersonal skills are more important now than ever, even when artificial intelligence makes certain tasks easier. In this video, four faculty describe how their use of Generative AI contributes to their practice as educators and their students’ learning.
