AI Faculty Cohort Programs Collection

A growing number of institutions are bringing faculty together in sustained cohorts to navigate the challenges and opportunities of AI in teaching and learning. To better understand the range of these efforts, we invited program facilitators to share information about their programs through a brief survey.

The collection below represents contributions from 100+ institutions to date. It includes details on program structure, cohort size, faculty compensation, institutional support, activities, and more.

Browse the collection to see what others are doing, compare approaches, and identify potential collaborators.  You can explore the collection directly (opens in a new tab).

A Google Sheets document displays a table with columns for Institution Name, Program Name, Intended Outcomes, and High-level Description. Rows list programs from New Mexico State University, Newman University, and Northeastern University, with detailed text describing AI teaching institutes, faculty learning communities, and fellowship models. The content includes structured outcomes (e.g., AI fluency, pedagogy development) and time commitments, arranged in a grid with alternating shaded rows for readability.

Want to add your program? The collection is still growing. If your institution runs an AI Faculty Cohort Program and you have not yet contributed, you can do so by completing this form (opens in a new tab).

Institutions that complete the survey by Thursday, May 15, 2026 will be invited to a virtual convening on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, where program facilitators from across higher education will come together to share what they are learning, discuss common challenges, and explore new strategies. Each institution may send up to 3 representatives. Registration details will be shared after you submit the survey.
